Great location and excellent service! A special thank-you to Ceres at the bar and dining area. She was very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, and went out of her way to help with our requests. She made our experience even more enjoyable. We enjoyed our stay!
Great hotel with standard amenities. Room was clean and with noise cancelling windows. Very centrally located where it is easy to get around. Hotel staff is also very polite.
Beautiful scenery, especially when lit up at night. Just outside the hotel. Great l9cation. Comfortable beds. Appears quiet at night. Has a hotel bar. All the staff were lovely. Ceres behind the bar was extremely helpful and lovely.
Excellent location. Being an ibis, you know what to expect; simple and no nonsense. Check-in and check-out very quick, so no time wasted messing about. Reception / Bar staff were very friendly and ensured an efficient 'no frills' experience, which is exactly what we expected. We paid a few €€ extra for the 'premium' room and the room was large. The bathroom is small but it's to be expected at such a premium location. If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room at the back of the building. Our room faced the Church which was lovely to look out the window at, but if you're a light sleeper, you won't be too happy (We could hear conversations on the street, staying on the 1st floor). We would happily stay here again on our return to Ghent.
Nice hotel. Room is cozy by American standards. Did get a bit of noise from rooms above and beside. But the location is fabulous. Just steps from St. Baafs cathedral. Walkable to most of Ghent's highlights or just 5 minutes from a tram stop. Plenty of choices for dining nearby. Not sure if they have AC in the rooms but luckily it cooled at night.
