A bit worn, but clean and functional. My room was a bit noisy from a buzzing refrigerator and the ventilation, but the staff was really serviceminded and friendly. No safety boxes in the rooms, and the safety box in the reception was not big enough to take a laptop.
We spent almost a week at the hotel. There were four of us, including a baby and a little kid, so we rented a double-room suite. We liked our stay quite much for the price. The rooms were clean, spacious, well-equipped with pieces of furniture, flat screen TV set, etc. We were provided with a baby cot on request, too. Besides the two rooms, the suite consisted of a balcony, a small kitchen, a built-in wardrobe for the clothes, and even a huge storage room where we could put our stroller unfolded. The bathroom must have been refurbished not so long ago, so it looked nice. The suite was cleaned every day, the hotel staff was friendly and adaptive to our special needs. The location of the hotel is perfect. It is in a safe part of the city, close to the EU offices, to the Schuman subway/railway station, and to a number of bus stops; yet, this part of the district is not overwhelmed by traffic. A lot of restaurants and pubs can be found in the vicinity. The Irish pub can be quite noisy on match days. :) However, there is also room for improvement. The furniture seemed kind of worn down, as well as most of the kitchen equipment. One could have made use of more knives, plates, cups, mugs, glasses, bowls, etc. One of the double beds was broken, the other one was in fact a couch hardly being lengthy enough for a 180+ cm tall person. If it was my apartment, I would refurbish the entire kitchen first, then I would replace the glass dining table with a wooden one, then the beds. All in all, next time we come to Brussels, we will definitely consider staying at this hotel again.
Perfect hotel. Staff very professional and rooms immaculate. Absolutely worth the reasonable price! Feels so safe around the area even late at night and only 30min walk to all the main tourist attractions. Metro also available just 2 mins away. Highly suggest.
Prime location, absolutely amazing staff, and a very good breakfast. Rooms are incredibly large and pretty clean, although outdated. Overall a great value.
Disappointing Experience – Hardly 4-Star Standard While this hotel claims a 4-star rating, the overall experience felt much more like a basic 3-star establishment. Several issues during my stay made the "superior" classification hard to justify: Service & Knowledge: The staff lacked basic information regarding local infrastructure. I received little to no help concerning the Brussels parking system or e-charging options, which was quite frustrating. Facilities & Maintenance: One of the two elevators was out of order in a 9-story building, leading to long waits. When I tried to access the gym, I was rudely "snapped at" by staff and told it was under repair, with no prior notice or apology. Dining: The breakfast was "okay," but certainly not up to the 4-star standards found in other European cities. It lacked variety and quality. Rooms: The cleanliness felt superficial—the rooms were "trying" to look clean, but the attention to detail was missing. Conclusion: Between the unhelpful service and the broken facilities, there are much better 4-star options in Brussels. This one currently misses the mark.
