I was disappointed with our meal at Jardin des Olives, especially given the high Google reviews. The couscous was overcooked and clumped together, served with far too much sauce, and the main course portion was small for the price and quite salty. The beetroot starter didn't stand out in terms of flavour. We also felt that our feedback wasn't well received by the staff. Overall, the experience didn't meet our expectations in terms of quality or value.
We went on a Sunday so maybe we didn't have the main Chef. The food was good but not great. The peas were very overcooked and the fish had bones in my it. Pretty much every dish was overcooked. It still tasted good but was just very overcooked. Service was impeccable.
Jardin des olives exceeded our expectations. The food was sublime, the service excellent! We had a lovely evening!
Myself and my fiancé reserved a table at this restaurant for an evening meal on Valentine's Day (plus it was more special as it was our first night in Brussels on a much needed break) I was looking forward to wining and dining at what looked like a cosy, romantic, venue. I wasn't disappointed! Nancy and Gregory (and any other staff) were very attentive and accommodating from the moment we walked in (even before we arrived as I exchanged a few emails with them to sort out a deposit etc) and afterwards when I asked about the sweet wines we sampled and they replied with information on how I could get hold of the same brand 😀 The food was nothing short of delightful👌🏻It was a specially set menu for that occasion. We even had a free extra starter and dessert on them! You don't get this sort of treatment in most places! We came from the UK and were made to feel very welcome. It is our second visit to Brussels and I can safely say I've fallen in love with Belgium 🇧🇪 🫶🏻
