Amazing place, great cocktails and food, super friendly and welcoming service. Just 4 stars for the food as the Nihari meat was containing too much fat compared to meat for our liking, but everything else was absolutely delicious.

Raffat is more than just a restaurant in Leuven—it's a heartfelt tribute to a mother's legacy. Run by cousins Usman "Uzzi" Hashmi and Massab "Musaab" Sahota, it honors Uzzi’s late mother, Raffat Hashmi, who was known for her passion for cooking and bringing family together. From the warm hospitality to the dishes themselves, everything is designed to reflect how she envisioned welcoming guests. The food has a deep and personal touch—every dish is infused with her original recipes and love. Highlights like the beloved "little balls of happiness" are a direct tribute to her culinary classics. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and inviting—a true reflection of her spirit and a blend of Pakistani and Western influences. In essence, Raffat is a living, breathing love letter from a son to his mother—carrying her warmth, passion, and tradition into every detail. It’s a beautiful, heartfelt experience that goes far beyond just a meal.

The first time we loved what we ate. Good biryani and taco. We recommend the moctail as well. The next time, we tried the sheep dish and it was super spicy, we didn’t like the octopus dish as well. Naan for 3 pieces was 5 euro. Overall, we think that they have small portions, high prices and average/good food.

The service here was incredible, however some dishes were better than others (didn't rate the sabzi and gobi awesome, but the balls of happiness were great). The cocktails were also fab. But overall, the price of the meal was very expensive for what you get (in terms of the quality of the food and quantity). So a good experience, but I don't think it's worth the money. There was nothing wrong, just very expensive for what you get.

Trendy and charming restaurant serving Pakistani cuisine with a modern touch located in the city centre of Leuven. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The interior is really pleasing to the eye, nicely decorated with a warm atmosphere and soft lighting. I have already been here a couple of times, both for lunch and dinner and I have never been disappointed although they could maybe introduce some new dishes on the "Mother's Table Menu" as I missed a bit of variety the 2nd time I went there. Every single dish of the menu was a work of culinary art, carefully prepared, delicious, bursting with flavour and beautifully served in a very original way. Highly recommended for an exceptional culinary experience!
