Holiday Inn Brussels Airport by IHG

Top staff members! They know what hospitality means. So easy when I want to take a flight, there is a bus leaving regurarly feom the hotel to the airport and back. Nice!
Incredible experience here. Staff was accommodating to all our needs. Came here before and during for tomorrowland. Would do it again. Easy bus ride to the airport. Bus route R26 can get you to grand place. 15 minute walk to the train station down the street. Only issue is it is a food desert if you don't know where to look. We didn't get a microwave which would've helped. We got a little mini fridge but that was it.
My experience at holiday inn was not great. The hotel is a little old but a fine location for stay near airport. However service is non existent. No room service available. At the restaurant the dinner takes ages for a lot of customers. They say it will take 5 mins but it takes much longer. Will not go here again as I have had much better experiences at hotels in the area that are cheaper
Honestly was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. My first time staying at a Holiday Inn. Used the free airport shuttle, loved the self check in kiosks, great mini market downstairs, and cute lobby with some games like billiards and foosball. Room was good (got an upgrade with my IHG status!), comfy bed, but my only complaint was the lighting. We had one wall light fixture that wasn’t very bright and then 2 bright spotlights connected to the bed. Was not ideal and the buttons to turn the spotlight on was attached to the bed - leaning back we accidentally turned them on twice.
I choose this hotel because it was close to the airport-I don't normally stay at the Holiday inn because of past poor performance. this hotel is no exception. The rooms are nice but overall the exterior and hallways are very worn and a bit shabby (very 1960 vibe). There is an odor of stale cigarettes that permeated the floor and my room. But my big complaint is that the desk staff was just rude and unhelpful. My traveling companion had to drop out and I was going it solo. I had a reservation with two breakfasts ( not prepaid) and a double occupancy room. he told me that as it was reservation I would stroll have to pay for the second breakfast. I thought that was a bit low. I was never offered the WiFi password. When I asked about a shuttle he pointed towards a sign -over there. I then went to the restaurant because I was really hungry and the poor single waiter was completely overwhelmed. I sat for 30. mins and was completely ignored and finally left. I had to eat a stale sandwich from their fast food area. This sin't how you expect to be treated at a fairly "nice" business hotel. I don't think I'd ever stay here again.I have stayed at lots of airport hotels over the years and the service here is definitely not up to scratch. the desk staff are the facing of the hotel when guests first enter I felt minimized and completely ignores. Ibis is just down the street and there are several other choices. I encourage people to look elsewhere.
