Made in Catherine Hotel is just the best place to be. As I read in other reviews, it is very homely and cosey. Everything is made with style, pleasant to see, to be, to feel and considerate towards environment. The hotelroom is very pleasant, bright with a lot of light. Breakfast is good, with fantastic coffee! In general and to my disappointment, I confronted in Belgium not too much consciousness towards vegan eating, and that was the same in this hotel. But upon asking, they were considerate of course. I very much recommend staying in this place and feel homely warmth away from home.
Made in Catherine was a great stop for us in Brussells. The staff was kind and helpful. The rooms were nice and cold, which was great since we visited during a heatwave. It was in a quiet area, yet walkable to the attractions and plenty of restaurants and pubs. The coffee shop at the hotel was fantastic. It was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend.
We stayed for 2 nights. Room was cozy but spacious, we appreciated the thought that went into the lightening and decor. There is always some one around to help (though they may be manning the bar). Breakfast was aaaamazing! We only experienced the cafe as hotel guests and it was excellent. You just order at the bar. Our a/c worked great, no issues and the entire staff was lovely and nothing but helpful.
The Sainte-Catherine quarter has always been my favorite area of Brussels. I used to visit twice a year with my mother, and we would stay in a delightful, quirky hotel that sadly no longer exists. After several years away, I was ready to return and was thrilled to discover the perfect place to stay: Made in Catherine, where I spent five wonderful nights. The décor is incredibly appealing—bright, clean, fresh, and uncluttered. My room, tucked under the roof, was small in the best possible way: cozy, comfortable, and perfectly suited to my needs. After a long journey, I had requested a quiet room, and it was completely soundproof, allowing me to rest undisturbed. Breakfast was both delicious and creative. I especially loved the chia seed cups topped with raspberry or apricot coulis—absolutely delightful. They also serve real yogurt and a wide variety of other high-quality options. The positive experience began even before my arrival, thanks to the excellent communication from Noémie during the reservation process, and continued throughout my stay with a young, welcoming, and genuinely delightful team. I interacted most with Romain and Anatole (de France:), whose warmth and friendliness contributed greatly to the pleasant atmosphere, but every member of the staff was professional, attentive, and kind. Made in Catherine truly felt like a home away from home, and I would not hesitate to stay there again on my next visit to Brussels.
What an awesome place to stay. The room and bathroom were more spacious than our own home. The hotel staff was super friendly. Our local tour guide told us about this area and it's so rich in history and traditions. It's very close to the Stock Exchange and short walk to the tourist attractions, but also has a lot of local shops, cafes, and restaurants available. It is also a short walk, like 15 meters, to the metro, which was very helpful. The hotel bed, pillows, towels, slippers (yes - slippers!) were great with all the needs in the room available (tea, coffee, soaps, etc.). The cafe attached to the hotel was great for breakfast and coffee, but we would recommend the hot chocolate 🍫 Overall, if you are looking for comfort, something that's more a B&B than hotel, and very spacious, this is your perfect place.
