Absolutely, awesome hotel. Don’t listen to the complainer reviews. The staff is extremely friendly, the location is absolutely perfect for walking anywhere you want to, and the room is spacious and clean. Do yourself a massive favor and get a hotel room along the canal. Amazingly beautiful and no extra cost.
Our experience was not so good: We asked for a quiet room - but the ceiling is wavy with holes that let any sound, even low, and light pass so there’s no privacy. We had troubles sleeping at night because of the tv of the room beside. The first night the receptionist intervened, the second night didn’t, so we had to knock on the door of the neighbor. - Our room was close to the breakfast room, with noise since early in the morning. - Immediately after we booked the room and paid, we received an email that offered the breakfast at 19€. We had just paid 25. - The hair dryer didn’t work.
Location is great, with easy walking distance to major city sights. Interior design was nice(at least for my room). Bed was comfy. Amenities are sufficient. My room was located at the end of isle with front door facing directly to the aisle. The sound insulation was terrible. I cannot only hear my neighbor’s talking all morning before I left. Then in the mid-day I returned for some work, the footsteps, suitcase wheeling, talking in the isle, door slamming, from all directions all came into my room, which makes it impossible to focus on work. Plus the wifi in the room was really bad and unstable.
Nice room with a nice canal view. The staff prepared the room with balloons and little hearts to help us celebrate. Location wonderful near lovely neighborhoods, save the active construction site next door. Very good breakfast!
This hotel is a long ride by tram from the train station but only a 5 minute walk at the end. Good location on the canal - and if you get a canal window, it is charming.. The staff are helpful and hospitable. No breakfast but they had a fridge - and a kettle. The canals are charming, the castle full of history and the bakery nearby, excellent for savoury. No goof for fruit and sweet bakings.
