Hotel NH Brussels Airport
Brussels
Recenzje
Hotel was good for a business trip stay. Breakfast was very poor as omlette and sausages were poorly done and did not attempt to eat again. Other food was ok. Restaurant on the other hand was good quality and with proper beer from tap. Free Wi-Fi in rooms very slow and working with MS Teams was restricted. Staff friendly and airport transfer was a defineate plus. Would return if breakfast and Wi-Fi would be better.
The location is very convenient, especially if you need quick access to the airport. If you want to travel to the city center by train, the train station is also very close. The free shuttle service was helpful, and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, but I was surprised that there was no complimentary water. There was a kettle, tea, and coffee, but not even a small bottle of water. I also think slippers should be provided, even in an economy room. After a shower, guests should not have to choose between walking barefoot and putting their shoes back on. I understand this is an economy room, but basic amenities like water and slippers would make the stay much more comfortable.
A bit of a mixed bag, at least for our stay. The hotel itself is great, the rooms spacious and comfortable, the staff friendly and courteous. There are many fire extinguishers there - a plus for safety. On the other hand, they are distributed on the floor - guessing from the loud noise and the door shaking multiple times in the night, I would guess that more than one guest returning to their room didn't see them and crashed into our door with the fire extinguisher. The hotel offers a free shuttle which is one of the reasons to choose it. At the airport, there was a sign the shuttle service doesn't run and one should call a number - but trying to call multiple times, noone picked up. Called the hotel then multiple times and they promised to send a taxi which didn't come. After an hour or so, shuttle did turn up, so we got there in the end without paying for a taxi ourselves. So in the end, it could be perfect but there are 2 things an airport hotel needs: a quiet room and a reliable shuttle service - both would be easy to address though.
Typical of NH, the rooms were comfortable, spacious and well-appointed. I do wish they offered feather pillows as an option; the standard pillows feel hot. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise, as I hadn't seen anything about it when choosing our hotel. Several interesting places to eat and drink are within a 15 minute walk, some of them at the far end of a very pleasant park with an impressive historic tower. The shuttle service to and from BRU, Brussels Airport, was a definite attraction. Nicholas, our shuttle driver, was pleasant and extremely helpful. As always, an NH breakfast buffet is a delight.
As an experienced international traveler, I have high standards for customer service and hospitality. This hotel exceeded all of them. The staff is outstanding, professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Special thanks to Mathilde Rania at the front desk for assisting me with all my stay arrangements, and to the lady at breakfast for her exceptional friendliness and helpfulness. The location is extremely convenient, not only near the airport with a reliable shuttle, but perfectly situated so I was able to attend my event and return to the hotel to rest, decompress, and recharge. The breakfast is varied and delicious, the restaurant serves high-quality dishes, and the facilities, including a modern gym and sauna are excellent. Even though my stay was short, it gave me exactly what I needed: time to relax, recover, and feel refreshed. This hotel delivers outstanding service, comfort, and efficiency. I would gladly return and highly recommend it to fellow travelers seeking a first-class experience.
