We chose this place because it was close by canal and outside of center but not too far. We had 5 nights booked and we were really happy about the stay. The hotel is in an old brewery which is really cool. The room is really spacious propaply because of being a brewery. They also have own bar with tabs that sell the old brewerys beer. The service were really helpful with our questions and how to get somewhere. The breakfast is a little bit basic but its enough for some days. Eventhough it has also hostel rooms (we had private) the hotel has alot of different age people when we were there.

First and foremost I have to give massive props to Laurel who provided our coffee each morning. She was the loviest woman, kind, warm and genuine. Thank you Laurel!! The Hotel is not really a hotel it’s a step up from a hostel but the staff are good, the room was clean and spacious, not having tea/coffee facilities in the room was a real down side for us (but appreciate it’s not for everyone). We really enjoyed exploring the beautiful city and only being 20 mins walk from the centre was perfect for us.

Almost had a friend kicked out because he accidentally let a faucet on, even though he didn’t know it was manual. The boss immediately accused my friend of doing this deliberately, even though he just didn’t know. Not to mention he was there to check cameras and almost throw him out, but not there if we needed help, which I will explain later in this text. The rooms were okay, but often too warm to the point you’d start to sweat which would just be nasty. I didn’t even bother eating breakfast there. I‘m very angry to say the least. Another dear friend of mine had his 150€+ worth of presents thrown out. When we went to the reception they said their workers are experienced and wouldn’t do such mistakes. We also had asked for camera footage and supposedly, only supervisors can check those. We were promised if we came the day after before breakfast we could check footage of the hall because a supervisor would‘ve came. Well guess what? No cameras, no supervisors, just chocolate as "compensation" for something that also held worth beyond money. The wish to make others a better day by gifting them. How unbelievably shameless.

My husband and I stayed in a private room with our cat for 4 nights last week. The room was enormous! I loved the industrial feel of the building with super wide hallways and high ceilings in the room. The windows don't open, but we looked out onto a lovely vegetable garden. From reading other reviews, I saw a tip to ask for an extra pillow, which was definitely necessary as the pillows are very soft. The bed itself was pretty comfortable. There was a bit of noise from upstairs (teenagers playing/yelling and furniture being moved) and in the hall, but nothing excessive or long-lasting. To get there, we took the Line 82 tram from Gare du Midi. The train station area is pretty rough and seedy with a lot of unhoused people, but it was a very short, easy walk to the hotel once we hopped off at the Triangle stop. The immediate neighborhood has some construction happening a few buildings down and a poorer immigrant neighborhood on the other side. It didn't feel unsafe or weird to me, but I have lived in big cities and traveled a lot. Just on the other side of the bridge, you easily cross into the more touristy neighborhoods. You have to explicitly request cleaning service, which I considered a benefit rather than a bug with a pet in the room. We didn't try the hotel breakfast because there are tons of great coffee shops nearby. We went to Mok just across the canal and it was excellent! There is another called Koul which is on our side of the canal which also looked good.
