Meet your guide in central Brussels and travel north by eco-friendly bus, arriving in Bruges after approximately 1.5 hours. Before leaving Brussels, enjoy a panoramic coach tour passing landmarks such as Cinquantenaire Park, the Royal District, Mont des Arts, the European Quarter, and the Congress Column with commentary from your guide.
Begin with a walking tour of Bruges, exploring medieval streets and highlights including the peaceful Lake of Love (Minnewater) and the Begijnhof, founded in 1245 to house lay religious women. Visit Walplein Square, the Old St. John’s Hospital, the Church of Our Lady with Michelangelo’s Madonna and Child sculpture, and scenic viewpoints like Rozenhoedkaai along the Dijver Canal.
Continue to Market Square (Grote Markt) to see the Belfry tower and colorful guild houses. After the guided tour, enjoy around 1.5 hours of free time for lunch, personal exploration, or sampling Belgian chocolate.
In the afternoon, travel to Ghent for a guided tour of its historic center.
