Fantastic restaurant. We managed to reserve a table just a couple of days in advance, on a recommendation. As soon as we arrived we were seated, then offered a better table. The selection of meat cuts is very impressive, and the service was excellent. Both meals exceeded our expectations, and the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. A good selection of wines by the glass was on offer, as well as aperitifs. This is a high class restaurant disguised as a bistro, so it's not cheap, but well worth the cost for an outstanding experience. Highly recommended.
A surprising seasonal special from a restaurant better known for its outstanding meat. The maatjes were exceptionally fresh, silky and perfectly balanced with green apple, dill and rye croutons. Simple, elegant and absolutely delicious. If it’s on the menu, don’t hesitate.
A very nice surprise in Leuven. The lobster was delicious. Service is excellent and the staff are friendly, yet professional. A nice , tasty dinner with selection of fine meat.
Top quality meat, perfectly prepared. Served with delicious salad and fries. Wines are good quality and affordable. Overall price is relatively high. You easily end up at 150 EUR/pp. I would recommend the manager to stop serving these miniature portions of mayonnaise. It is really frustrating having to ask 3 or 4 times for mayonnaise. Seems like a weird way of cost saving on something that does not even contribute. Apart from that, I recommend the place without any doubt. One of my favourites.
The restaurant is situated across the Leuven courthouse. It’s a popular place for law students and courthouse workers to go for a dinner. We ate here with a group of 8. The main thing is steak in this restaurant. They have a glass fridge in the guest area where you get to learn about the different cuts they have and you get to choose which one you want. Or you can get the menu where you can choose 4 different cuts. The quality of the meat was very good but in our group not everyone got the cuisson as they wanted it. If you lime your stake rare/bleu it’s fine. If you want it medium rare or medium well you probably better ask twice. The people serving there are very attentive. Service is good. When it’s full the restaurant can feel a bit crowded and the noise level can be significant.
