Great breakfast here two days running. Today, I had the Summer French Toast, which was French toast with poached peaches. Very tasty and good portion. In fact, I couldn't eat it all. Yesterday, I had the Summer Waffle. The nduja spice gave it a good kick. The eggs were cooked to perfection. Really good food. Had mixed carrot, orange, apple, ginger juice both days. Can really taste the carrot and ginger particularly. Also had the jalapeño infused Bloody Mary yesterday. Very good. My only negative is that was very busy, particularly yesterday, which was a Sunday, when a friend asked for some water after our food arrived and we never got it. It was also hard work getting the bill, which was strange as they had people queuing down the street to get in. Service was much better today, even though it was busy, it wasn't chock-a-block like yesterday. So, take a look, if there's a queue outside, be prepared for service to be slightly off.
Went there with the other half, I had the chorizo waffle with goats cheese, egg bacon. Ate every last morsell. Was lovely. The fiancee had the avocado and egg on toast - also very lovely (and not stingy with the avocado) The food is 5* The prices are on the higher end of average, my waffle was €17.50 Not a rip off by any means as the food was lovely. But with the price being on the higher end of average, 4* in my opinion is fair. Well worth eating here
The café has a nice atmosphere with plenty of seating, making it a comfortable place to relax. They also offer free Wi-Fi, and the menu has a good variety of options. The Summer Pancake was quite good—light, refreshing, and perfect for a summer meal. However, I was a bit disappointed with the Summer Waffle. The menu described it as coming with a poached egg, but it was served with a boiled egg instead, which wasn’t what I expected. Overall, it’s still a pleasant café with a nice ambiance, but I hope the menu descriptions match what is actually served.
The pancakes were delicious but the egg dish was just okay. Didn’t really taste the chorizo in the waffle. The drinks really tasted like nothing though which was disappointing. I got the ube latte and my friend got the chai latte and they just tasted like warm water :(
🥚✨ Brunch Heaven at Woodpecker 47 Had the perfect brunch feast at Woodpecker 47 in the heart of Brussels! Velvety hollandaise sauce over perfectly poached eggs, served on crispy toast with melted cheese—every bite was pure satisfaction. The fresh salad and pickles on the side balanced the richness beautifully. Paired with a smooth latte, it was the ultimate morning comfort. The atmosphere is cozy, the service quick, and it’s truly one of the best stops during our trip. 💙🍽️ And the best part—it was right across from our hotel, so happiness was just a few steps away!
