A stay in july/august for 5 days in 2026. Our stay at Van der Valk Nivelles was a mix of excellent facilities and disappointing service. The hotel is beautiful and very well located. The swimming pool and its surroundings are fantastic, and we really enjoyed spending time there during the warm weather. It was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. Unfortunately, when we experienced some complications during our stay, the service from most of the staff was very disappointing. This is not what we are used to from Van der Valk, which is why we cannot give a higher rating for the overall service. However, we would like to give a very special thank you to Emmie. She completely turned our experience around with her kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. She is truly a gem of this hotel and deserves five stars for her outstanding service. Employees like Emmie make all the difference, and we are very grateful for everything she did for us. Thank you Emmie!
One star for the beauty and the second star for the Cheff , the service is poor, we reserved for eating at 18pm there was place everywhere but we could only seat in the back … there terrace tables and center where empty and of course no one was thinking that the main hour of the dinner is aprox up 20:00 . They didn’t wanted us to seat there. The service has no idea about the food. This was very disappointing… i wanted to rest here the night but we prefer to go to other hotel (and I often rest in this hotel chain). If for you the service is an important part that makes you feel well (specially for eating) unfortunately this place is not for you.
Amazing stay at this hotel. We took the standard room, the room was perfect with not a single speck of dust. The hotel has a nice but small outdoor pool for all guests and a separate spa area with one indoor pool, one jacuzzi, one sauna and one hammam. The receptionists (all) were super friendly, speaks English and accommodating. It is a family hotel, so lots of children running around and jumping, playing in the pool and spa area, that makes the spa a bit noisy and not really a relaxed atmosphere of a wellness. But for 15euros, this is value for money. Overall, a very nice experience. They have a very nice terrace bar with pumpy vibe. Restaurant is very good with delicious food and good ambience.
We didn't stay in the hotel, we came in to have breakfast while our vehicle charged outside. We were met with an extremely nice staff that were able to accommodate us having breakfast despite us not sleeping in the hotel. The food was great, high quality, and the environment felt clean, cozy and welcoming. Will definitely come back for a full stay if the opportunity arises. Thank you
