We left feeling a little underwhelmed by this visit. It wasn’t quite as memorable as my previous experience (when the hachis Parmentier was on the menu). The food was good, but for the price point I was expecting a bit more in terms of quality, overall experience and service. It took quite a while to get our orders or get some advice on the wine selection.
Food was amazing. Intimate menu that changes regularly. Flawless mixing of flavors. Waitress was incredibly knowledgeable and able to go into depth about how the different wines are produced and where they come from. I was impressed!
A bit overpriced for a bistro character. Food was burned, tasted like gas and was not well seasoned (they love their gas torch). As appetizer they served 2 tiny pieces of an uncooked cauliflower...the rest was not worth the hype at all. Wine was also low quality and seemed that the bottle had been open and uncooled for the whole day...
Authentic Belgian food with a modern twist. Excellent service and a rather nice wine selection. Be sure to try the spicy dame blanche — a truly amazing experience! The dining salle could use a bit more decoration; a painting on the large white wall would make it feel warmer. A must-visit in the area, standing out among restaurants that lack character.
