Rugbyman N°TWO

⭐☆☆☆☆ We had dinner here over the weekend and were very disappointed with the overall experience. I ordered a steak medium, but it was served well done. When I sent it back, it returned tasting burnt and was missing the chips that originally came with the meal. The chips eventually came a while later. The lobster was overcooked and rubbery, and the lobster bisque was served cold. We also ordered the fish soup, but it was nothing like a traditional fish soup and lacked flavour. To finish, the tiramisu was overwhelmingly sweet and not enjoyable. On top of the disappointing food, the restaurant itself did not feel particularly clean. The service was slow throughout the evening, and the staff were inattentive, making it difficult to get assistance when we needed it. Overall, this was a very poor dining experience, especially considering the prices. Unfortunately, we would not return or recommend this restaurant.
My friend recommended this place, and it was great! It's a must try if you're in Brussels. The location is beautiful, yet wonderfully quiet. I went with one of their fish menus, which included sea bream carpaccio as an appetizer, grilled sea bream with capers and mashed potatoes as the main dish, and a dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious, all the recipes are thought out perfectly, it was clearly cooked with a lot of passion, and the portions were actually big. For dessert, I had the chocolate mousse, and it was the best chocolate mousse I've ever had! Highly recommended!
Positives: Fast and attentive service. Fair price. Cute terrace. Negatives: Food is just ok, fries were not good quality. Apparently they have two menus but only put one on my table so I was stuck with a 3-course menu when I actually only wanted a main.
During our two months in Belgium, there were only three restaurants we returned to more than once, and Rugbyman Two was one of them. Located in the charming St. Catherine Square, it consistently delivered an outstanding experience. The staff and service are exceptional, but the food is truly what sets this place apart, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. We always opted for the menu, and it never disappointed. You can’t go wrong with the oysters or the tuna carpaccio, both impeccably fresh. The Lobster Rugbyman is rich and full of flavor, and for dessert, the Strawberry Melba or the cheesecake are must-tries. My wife always chose the Melba, while I couldn’t resist the cheesecake—light, smooth, and easily one of the best I’ve had. We were never disappointed. Highly recommended—definitely give it a try.
Le menu de chef is a 3 couses. Even it is reasonable price, but enough choices. I really enjoyed the meal.
