That is my favourite restaurant in Leuven ! And now that I have moved to Brussels, I still come often to eat here, since there was no match to it in Brussels. The food quality hasn’t change since my first visit 4 years ago, it is tasty, fresh and personally a comforting food 🤗 my favourites are Chich Taouk with Batata Muhamara! Or Falafel with batata muhamara. The side dishes are also great especially for a hot summer meal. And the Syrian coffee is as nice as homemade ones 😊
The food was fresh, flavorful, and well-presented. Portion size was satisfying, and the taste was well balanced. Service was friendly and the overall experience was enjoyable. A good place for a decent and reliable meal.higly recommend.
Came here in a Monday night. I would say solid food. Had the lamb which was served with salad, and pita bread. Their flavors were very complimentary. The lamb was cooked perfectly, the salad had the right balance of texture and freshness. The whole meal itself was not heavy at all it was just right. I would come back here.
Cozy Syrian restaurant with a warm and inviting atmosphere, located in the city centre of Leuven (Bondgenotenlaan) specialized in authentic Middle Eastern cuisine. The food was delicious and beautifully served in generous portions. The home-made desserts were also very tasty! I definitely recommend the Mixed Platter: A generous and colorful selection of delicate starters with a variety of flavors. I am also a big fan of the hot Arabic dessert drink Sahlep (or sahlab):a sweetened, thickened milk flavored with rich vanilla and orange blossom water, topped with warm cinnamon & pistachios.
Fatayer is an outstanding Syrian restaurant in Leuven. The food was truly authentic — rich flavours, fresh ingredients, and beautifully prepared dishes that reflect real Syrian culinary tradition. The service was impeccable. The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive (Miss. Gaane), making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. A wonderful place for anyone looking for authentic Syrian cuisine in Leuven. Highly recommended!
