Reviews
Service was really great, food is home style Belgian cuisine delicious 👍 this restaurant is over 100 old, so lots of character. Great alternative to tourists trap restaurants in city centre.
Stumbled upon this gem after a day of exploring. It’s a popular spot amongst locals and a staple in the area for 100 years. Although a lot of reviews say it was a long wait, we walked in and had no problem seating a party of 3. We tried the Irish beef & Filet Américain and were happy with our choice. The green pepper sauce for the steak was my favorite of the different sauces offered.
A true celebration of traditional Belgian cuisine. From the moment you step inside, you are welcomed by a warm and inviting atmosphere that reflects the spirit of classic Belgian dining. The dishes are prepared with great precision: high-quality ingredients, perfectly mastered cooking techniques, and authentic flavors without unnecessary embellishment. Each recipe respects tradition while showcasing genuine culinary expertise. The service is attentive, professional, and discreet, making the overall experience even more enjoyable. A must-visit address for anyone wishing to experience Belgian gastronomy at its finest.
We arrived without reservation and had to wait for a bit (unfortunately outside as it was fully packed). The atmosphere was good, as well as the food we ordered américaine and carbonade. However the fries that came with the américaine were not that good soft and not crunchy…. something we (the rest of the people I dined with) agreed and found disappointing being a brasserie of such category.
