Absolutely amazing experience at Frites Atelier today - despite busy time and a long queue, staff is very helpful, efficient and quick. I ordered beef stew frites and that was the best choice I could have made - crispy fries with devious stew (and a generous amount of it) topped with some mustard seeds and greens. Buzzers are a great plus - there is no shouting or missing order situation, you just bring your little disc with you to the table and when your order is ready, it will buzz and flash with red lights. Beautiful interior, styled as those old school eateries. Overall a very strong 5 stars! I will definitely recommend this spot to everyone going to Brussels.
Frites Atelier never disappoints. It offers a fantastic atmosphere, delicious food, and outstanding service. We first visited the Ghent location and enjoyed it so much that we had to come back during our trip to Brussels. The Flemish Stew Fries were incredible, and the homemade iced tea was just as impressive. Highly recommended!
Interestingly, fries apparently are considered a full meal in Belgium. And of course me and my friend A absolutely had to try them to check what is so special about these Belgian fries. Frites Atelier didn't disappoint our expectations at all, on the contrary, it went above and beyond. The Indo Peanut fries we shared were perfect, slightly crunchy on the outside, soft and perfectly purèe-ish on the inside. Additionally, the saucy topping was quite interesting, with curry, crumbled peanuts and fried onions. Maybe I wouldn't consider it a full meal, but we were absolutely satisfied.
Loved this place! We tried the Flemish Beef Stew Fries and the Parmesan & Basil Fries, and both were packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. The fries were crispy, well-seasoned, and lived up to the hype. The Pineapple & Basil Iced Tea was a standout as well—refreshing, unique, and paired perfectly with the food. Overall, a great spot for gourmet fries and a quick bite. Definitely worth a visit! 🍟🥤✨
Ordered the Flemish Beef Stew and the Parmesan & Basil flavors. The stew was a bit rich if you’re not used to that style, but definitely filling—I was pretty full after finishing it. My wife ordered the Parmesan & Basil and thought it was just right. Nothing mind-blowingly good, but the flavors were solid overall. We came around 7:30 p.m. on a Saturday night and the place was surprisingly empty at first, but by the time we finished, it had really filled up. I guess this is a local favorite!
