An upper-mid-range restaurant in Gent. Nouvelle cuisine style; I’d recommend adding the wine pairing to the menu. Prices are in line with this type of restaurants in the city. A well-executed menu. The service was adequate but could be improved.
Had a wonderful meal. We ate in the charming courtyard. It was a bit chilly- so they provided a blanket for each table. Service was warm yet efficient. The cooks brought some of the courses out. The food tasted great and every course looked like an art project. Overall was an amazing meal.
An absolutely wonderful evening at Karel de Stoute. Outstanding meal, perfectly paced, top notch service, and a lovely dining room. Reaching levels of cooking deserving of a Michelin Star, certainly out-performing other 1 starred restaurants I've visited recently. Compliments to the owners, the chefs, and the front of house team. Highly recommended.
Made reservations to this restaurant after doing some research for a nice place for lunch while visiting Gent. Even though it’s been close to three weeks since I ate here, I can still taste the flavors of each course. An extraordinary culinary experience that I could only recommend.
