They were really friendly l and really cute place. Food was good but a bit on the dry side. They change the dishes daily so next time:)
Absolutely wonderful experience at Thieyp! This is a small, family-run restaurant with such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service was excellent — extremely kind, attentive and genuinely friendly from the moment I arrived. I ordered the starter with manioc galette, scampi and avocado velouté, followed by the main dish made with plantain and manioc served with lamb in sauce. For dessert, I also tried one of the desserts of the day, and I had baobab juice with the meal. Everything was delicious, full of flavour and clearly prepared with care. A truly special place in Brussels. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food and warm hospitality. If I come back to Brussels, I already know where I’ll return.
A really nice restaurant with a really nice concept behind. The have a small menu that is different for every day, aiming to reduce food waste while keeping an element of novelty, an interesting approach that I would like to see in more restaurants. I went on a Monday and had the chicken with rice and peas, a really good, aromatic dish (and a large portion, I was too full to also order dessert). Overall I would recommend this place if you’re craving good, homemade food.
What a wonderful experience at Thieyp! We absolutely loved the small tasting of the homemade juices at the beginning and the kind introduction and explanations about the dishes. The concept of changing daily meals felt very fresh and sustainable, and honestly, it was so hard to decide what to order. In the end, we decided to share everything so we could try as much as possible: the shrimp starter with an amazing avocado dip, followed by the lamb dish and a vegetarian meal. The different sauces added so much variety, and everything tasted incredibly fresh and delicious. What stood out the most, though, was the exceptionally friendly service. The whole team was so welcoming and made us feel completely at home. Absolutely recommended!
Great ! A gem in Brussels! Fresh, homemade African dishes bursting with authentic flavors, generous portions, and fair prices. Cozy atmosphere, warm family-like service, like eating at an African mama's home. I love the concept of not having a menu, but cooking on fresh ingredients and avoiding food waste! Highly recommend for a unique culinary experience in Ixelles!
