The interior and terrace are really nice. The service is friendly without being intrusive. It's also dog-friendly! And they have an amazing selection of 69 different types of mussels.
White asparagus was superb. House specialty is mussels, there are a number of options to choose from. I’ve had mussels many times but NEVER like this, they were absolutely fantastic not to mention the broth itself made for a delicious low fat low salt soup which was amazing. Coupled with glass of white wine it was perfect. Loved it. Would definitely return!
If you like mussels, this is the place! They have over 60 recipes for cooking mussels! We went there twice in a week, tried multiple tastes. Overall, the most simple fisherman taste is the best! The soup is clear and tasty, the mussels are so smooth and yummy! If you like a bit more stronger taste, then go with the option with white wine, garlic and cream. If you don’t like mussels, their steak are not bad. However, the pawn I ordered taste not fresh enough….. definitely not in the same level as their amazing mussels!
We had a good dinner at Le Zinneke: the service is nice, the menu offers a great selection of Belgian dishes from mussels to meat and vegetarian options, and the restaurant in itself is very cute with the comics decorations. I give 4/5 as I thought that the price is on the expensive end (40€ per person) and for this price I expect the fries that come with the mussels to be on point, which I did not think was the case for us.
A great place for mussels. Don’t be fooled by the entrance, the restaurant goes way deep, and to the side, so it’s pretty big. 60+ kinds of mussels, the ones I had (#40) were great. Literally anything you can think of. Frites were good and crispy, and a wide variety of beer (which is kind of a requirement for a good Belgian restaurant). Very friendly and helpful staff, who speak English and French (and probably other languages). Good for families as well as groups or couples. Very relaxed atmosphere, but really good food.
