Moutarde

I had a fantastic experience at Moutarde, located in Ixelles (Brussels). It’s a beautiful bistro full of charm and character, set in a very quiet and pleasant neighborhood — the perfect spot to relax and enjoy good food. We were lucky to sit on the terrace thanks to the nice weather, which made the experience especially enjoyable. It was cozy, calm, and inviting. Inside, the atmosphere is just as lovely: warm, intimate, and authentic, with an open kitchen that adds a nice, lively touch without being overwhelming. The food was excellent. The menu is small, but very well thought out, which clearly reflects the quality and care put into each dish. Everything we tried was spot on, and the overall dining experience felt honest and well executed. Prices are fair for the quality offered, and I would strongly recommend making a reservation, as it’s clearly a popular spot. Overall, a highly recommended bistro with great food, great atmosphere, and a place I’d happily return to.
Nice restaurant, big terrace and friendly staff. The food we ordered was good, but nothing extraordinary. My partner and I went on a Wednesday night: they had ran out of one of the starters we wanted to order but also one of the desserts. The choices were then fairly limited. Also, while the cordon bleu was tasty, it is a disgrace to charge 25€ for something the size of a shrimp croquette.
A great experience. I went on a Sunday and the service was great, super attentive. The food is also wonderful, but the portion sizes are on the smaller side so you would need to order starter, main, and dessert in order to leave feeling satisfied (I say this as someone who only ever orders two courses). The prices are semi accessible which has a huge added value. I think the restaurant should be conscious before it rises its prices because it will lead to its clientele falling back on Brasseries Georges. Read: I only went to Moutarde because it’s price accessible, otherwise I’m going to the former. Will definitely be back.
such a nice little restaurant at the corner of the street. The atmosphere was very nice with attention to detail details. Our server was professional and nice, we really enjoyed the night there. The food was also very good but giving only four stars rather than five, as unfortunately it was a bit overpriced. A quick example would be the pasta dish with butter and sage, which was good but quite a typical plate of pasta and cost more than €20. Apart from this small detail, the desserts were amazing and I would definitely recommend this restaurant 😁
Cozy new brasserie, with excellent service and delicious food! Recommended!!!
