First, lovely food! All 4 of us really enjoyed our food. Which was v lucky as it took a looong time for it to arrive. It even took a good hour before we were even given some bread & grizzini… Also a very long wait between starter & main, but luckily when food did arrive it tasted great! This specifically for anyone who struggles w gluten: Will just make a note that waiter seemed unsure re what contained gluten. Felt it got perhaps confused with dairy. When mentioned I couldn’t eat gluten I was recommended amongst others the linguine dish… and when I said oh, is it gluten free linguine, I was told it wasn’t quite linguine but spaghetti so that didn’t clear things up. 😁Obviously avoided the dish! The tartar dish said GF on menu but arrived w sort of cracker around it. Waiter couldn’t explain what cracker was made of apart from ‘it was a grain’, which of course rings alarm bells for anyone w gluten issues. Simply skipped eating those crackers and stuck to the meat only as cross contamination is not an issue for me. Delish! So, all in all: Very tasty food! But maybe if you’re in a hurry it might not be your first choice. Or we were perhaps unlucky on the night. Worth a try though!
An absolute gem in Ghent. The food at Leoni Cucina is a true explosion of flavors — the zucca risotto is unforgettable — but always elegant and refined, never excessive. Add a gorgeous, cozy atmosphere and you have the ideal spot for a romantic dinner or a night out with friends. Five stars without hesitation.
Very tasty food and great atmosphere. The only thing that bothered me was that the waiter didn’t speak Dutch at all, it made me feel uncomfortable because my grandma felt a bit lost :(
The food was good...but the tiramisu is fantastic! I'm not a big fan of raw food...so the fish and beef tartare were alright.
