If you come here, just have the steak, with salad. The croquettes were ok (I liked the cheese one a lot, would take the beef one if offered and wouldn't take the shrimp one at all), but at 26€ for 3 with a bit of salad, and some very forgettable toast, a total ripoff. The steak was truly delicious, I had the Belgian blue and white tournedos, rare, it was amazing. The salad was very welcome. The fries, however, were nothing special by international standards, and, in Brussels, rather disappointing. The dish would have been so much better as a whole if they cooked the steak and salad and went to any of the 10 or so frite shops in a 5 min walking radius for the fries. I found other restaurants in Brussels to do a much better job with them. The steak does have the option of coming with croquettes, for free, and they don't seem much smaller than the croquettes I overpaid for as an appetizer, so if I were to go again I'd have steak, salad, croquettes, and then go get some proper frites elsewhere after. The alcohol free beer was exceptional as well, but unfortunately they don't give tap water, so you have to pay for water. Overall I'd go again, but only for the steak (perhaps the steak tartare is also good, given their exceptional beef).
The welcome, the atmosphere with the staff, and the food were absolutely delicious, bursting with wonderful flavors. Thank you to the entire team for a magnificent time spent at your restaurant. Two Liège residents on the go.
My husband and I had a wonderful meal at the restaurant. We needed a break from the moules and fries and found this gem initially in Ghent. So happy there’s a branch in Brussels as well. Abdul was friendly and attentive. We ordered the Chateaubriand to share. The steak was cooked to perfection, well seasoned and very tender. Atmosphere was 4/5 because it was a little quiet and we prefer some music when we dine. We’d definitely go back there again whenever we are in town.
The service was very friendly and fast. There’s a good choice of steaks, however I went for the burger which was very good. I also loved the delicious apple crumble dessert, served with whipped cream and ice cream, it disappeared before I could even take a picture.
Visited on a Monday and ordered the Belgian steaks with mashed potatoes and one with chicory salad. Had the suggested blond beer which was lovely. All food hit the spot. Complimentary caramel shot at the end was delicious! Thanks for a great Belgian dinner
